ISLINGTON TOWN HALL WEDDING

LONDON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

SYRA + ARVIN

Over the years spent living in Islington Syra had loved seeng brides strolling down Upper street. So, having a ceremony at Islington Town Hall had felt almost like a right of passage ahead of their much larger celebration later in the year. There is something so iconic about those Town Hall steps, I can absolutely see it’s appeal.

Syra and Arvin entered the ceremony room together; the perfect show of unity. Syra wore a an exquisite couture saree by Anushree Reddy teamed with a pair of pale blue Louboutin platforms. Syra and Arvin’s ceremony was small and intimate; taking place in the incredible Council Chamber with only their immediate family. The Council Chamber is one of the most iconic ceremony rooms at Islington Town Hall. With stunning wood panelling and circular seating which allows the perfect view of the ceremony for all guests.

Following the ceremony, we made the most of the Islington Town Hall’s gorgeous marble corridors for some relaxed portraits. We then ventured out around Islington to visit some of Syra and Arvin’s early dating spots including Screen on The Green (an incredible cinema that dates back to 1913) and quaint little Italian which was the location of their first date. We also strolled the streets of Islington with their imposing Georgian architecture. Nothing says ‘London’ quite like a row of Georgian town houses and they are always such a gorgeous backdrop for portraits.
